Add a Score Mapping

Qualitative descriptors and scaled scores can be mapped to the raw score of an assessment. These mappings are defined on a per assessment basis.

1.

When adding a new assessment, or editing an existing one, open the properties editor to the Gradebook Settings.

2.

Check the Score Mapping Checkbox to access the mapping settings.

3.

Enter two columns of data. The first column is the list of raw score achiveable by the student. The second column is the scaled score to display. The two columns can be seperated by either a space, tab, or comma.

Raw scores should be listed from the highest value down to the lowest. Raw scores which are omitted are presummed to be grouped with the next lower score. For example, if the listed raw scores are 50 and 30, everything 50 and greater will be assigned the same scaled score as 50. Every score equal to or greater than 30, without going over 50, will received the scaled score assigned to 30. Any raw score lower than the lowest score listed will receive the same scaled score as the lowest score.

Once all scores have been entered, click the OK button to save the changes.

4.

All scaled scores will be visible to the teacher. If the score should also be viewed by the student, check the Visible to students box.

5.
