Grant or Modify User Permissions in a Domain

Domain rights are those that apply to the entire domain and include:

Owner. Has all rights to the domain
Create. Can create new subdomains
Read. Can view domain information
Edit. Can edit domain information and grant, edit, and revoke user permissions
Delete. Can delete domains
Post Announcements. Can post domain announcements
Report. Can run domain reports

Click the Administration button.

Click the Users link.

Select the criteria by which you want to search. BrainHoney will search on either First Name, Last Name, Username, UserID, or External ID.

Enter the search item. You may either enter the whole item, or you may enter a partial term with the wildcard character *.

To search in all the domains to which you have access, click to place a checkmark in the Search all domains checkbox.

Click Find. All users matching the search criteria specified display in the window.

Select the row of the user, and click Open (you may also double-click the row of the user). The User Details view opens.

Click the Domain Permissions tab.

Click Grant Permission. The Find Domain box displays.

Click radio button for the search criteria, and enter the search term in the box. You may enter an asterisk at the beginning or end of the search item as a wildcard. To search all the domains to which you have access, place a check in the Search all domains checkbox.

Click the Find button. The search results display. Select the domain to which to grant permissions and click OK. The Permissions box displays.

Select the role to assign to the user.

To customize the permissions, click the arrow to reveal the Details options and place a check in the checkbox beside the permission that you want to select.

Owner. Has all rights to the domain
Create. Can create new subdomains
Read. Can view domain information
Edit. Can edit domain information and grant, edit, and revoke user permissions
Delete. Can delete domains
Post Announcements. Can post domain announcements
Report. Can run domain reports

When you have finished making changes, click OK. The Permissions box closes and the new permissions are listed in the Domain Permissions tab.
